Discover theOasi Zegna with snowshoes on your feet: this nature park will be your kingdom for five wonderful hours in the snow.
Walk slowly among the whitewashed pastures and beech woods of the Biellese Alps, in the serene places of Bosco del Sorriso and Bocchetto Sessera.
In the company of an environmental hiking guide , you will get to know this territory, its stories and legends better, and immerse yourself in the regenerating silence of nature.
What we will do
We will meet at 9 a.m. in Bocchetto Sessera, at an altitude of 1,300 metres.
Before setting off on our adventure in the snow, the environmental excursion guide will welcome us and, during a short briefing, provide some details on the itinerary.
Having donned our snowshoes, we will finally be ready to set off and walk the 6 km of our itinerary, which will involve an altitude difference of around 300 metres. We will start with a descent through a beautiful beech forest to reach the Sessera River and the Bosco del Sorriso (Smile Forest). This forest of larch, spruce, fir and birch trees is an ideal place for forest bathing and will seem truly magical with the sun illuminating the snow cover.
During the walk we will discover various curiosities aboutOasi Zegna, from its foundation to the characteristics of the area, a particular geological zone crossed by the Insubric line, which marks the boundary between the Eurasian and Adriatic plates.
We will then snowshoe through the valley of Piana del Ponte, the lowest point of the route, to climb back up through the beech forests to Bocchetto Sessera.
The expected duration of the snowshoe hike, including stops, is 5 hours.

The activity is at an easy level and suitable for everyone from 8 years old and up.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The excursion is available on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
The itinerary may vary according to weather and snow conditions at the organiser's discretion.
Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash.
There is a car park and an inn at the meeting point, available for meals and use of toilets.
