Close your eyes and imagine: crisp air, the scent of larch trees and the crick-crock of fresh snow beneath your feet!
Get ready to discover a hidden side of Sestriere with a snowshoe hike through silent woods at an altitude of 2, 000 metres, in the company of an Environmental Hiking Guide.
A 3-hour experience that will take you to admire the spectacular skyline of the Alps!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Sestriere (TO) . Awaiting us will be the Environmental Hiking Guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
After the ritual introductions, the guide will hand us snowshoes and poles (included) , then we will participate in a briefing of about 30 minutes to learn how to move in the snow and get to know the itinerary.
We will enter an enchanting larch forest, where the noise of the city and the ski slopes will soon become a distant memory. During the walk, the guide will reveal interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, making every step a discovery.
We will ascend gently until we reach an exceptional vantage point: from here, the view will open out onto the snow-capped peaks, giving us a picture-postcard skyline of the Alps. The route, round trip or round trip depending on the condition of the snowpack, is about 5 km long with an altitude difference of 300 metres.
We will then return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours (including briefing and stops, with approximately 2 hours of actual walking) .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first snowshoeing trip.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to April and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 participants.
Duration and itinerary may vary according to snow and weather conditions and participants' abilities at the guide's discretion. In the absence of snow and subject to the participants' acceptance, the guide may propose a nature walk with crampons as an alternative.
Dogs may participate, provided that they are socialised and used to being in a group; the guide must be notified at the contacts indicated in the email confirming the booking.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
