Take part in our rafting trip to Rieti: in the company of a guide, venture into the nature of the Piana Retina and paddle through the historic centre until you reach the Roman Bridge.
A 2-hour experience to explore the provincial capital in an'original' way!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at 10 a.m. at the meeting point in Rieti. I, your guide on this rafting trip, will be there to welcome you!
Once all participants have gathered, we will board a shuttle that will take us to the embarkation point; the transfer will last 10 minutes and will take place on a dirt road. On site, I will hold a briefing during which I will explain the manoeuvres we will perform and all the information we need to enjoy this experience without any worries.
We will then be ready to climb aboard the rubber dinghy and venture down the River Velino to discover the city of Rieti. We will initially penetrate the nature of the Piana Reatina, and then reach the historic centre, reaching as far as the Roman Bridge; in some cases it will be possible to see the ancient houses on the horizon along the banks.
After about 6/7 km of navigation we will reach the disembarkation point. From here it will be possible to return to the meeting point by taking a walk of about 200 metres. The rafting trip will last about 1 hour; the experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for children from the age of 3; children under the age of 18 must have a signed authorisation which will be sent by the organiser before the experience takes place.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience is available from May to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
The experience takes place subject to weather and river conditions at the organiser's discretion.
A car park is available on site.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
The organisers have dinghies of different sizes available: generally, each dinghy can carry a maximum of 12 participants.
Once you have made your reservation, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your confirmation e-mail to inform them of your size so that they can provide you with the correct size of buoyancy aid jacket.
There is a changing room with toilet facilities on site.
There is a bar on site where any accompanying persons can stay.
