At this 4-star country hotel in Ragusa, nestled among olive, carob and almond trees, you can slow your pace and allow yourself to be enveloped in the simple beauty of the Sicilian countryside. A night in a Superior Room, breakfast included, and a 1-hour horseback ride that takes you to the impressive Donnafugata Castle.

What we will do
Check-in is available from 3 p. m. at the 4-star country hotel in Ragusa, a farmhouse from the past transformed into a charming retreat amidst the most typical landscapes of the Sicilian countryside.
Upon arrival you will be assigned your Superior Room: a refined and cosy environment characterised by living stone, wood and soft fabrics. The room has two separate rooms and all the comforts: air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, safe, living area, desk, sofa, private bathroom with shower, courtesy set, hairdryer and slippers.
As for the horseback ride, you can arrange the time directly with the staff: either in the afternoon on the day of arrival or the following morning.
The experience will begin with an introduction to the horse, during which you will learn how to get in tune with the animal, mount the saddle and use the reins correctly. After a trial ride in the riding arena, you will set off on a ride lasting about 1 hour and 15 minutes. You will ride through the Hyblean countryside along green paths, ancient tracks and views as far as the coast. You will reach the magnificent Donnafugata Castle, one of the most iconic places in south-eastern Sicily.
The next morning you will start your day with a buffet breakfast in the outdoor kiosk (or in your room, on request) : homemade pastries, tarts, croissants, ricotta cheese, yoghurt, fruit, jams, cereals, juices, fresh eggs, cold meats, bread, dried fruit and several options for intolerances (vegetable milk and gluten-free products, to be advised in advance) .
Check-out is by 11: 00 a. m.

The horseback ride is suitable for everyone, even beginners: no previous experience is necessary, the only limit is the weight, which must not exceed 110 kg.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The experiences included in the stay plus experience packages are subject to weather conditions. If the experience cannot take place due to bad weather or other causes of force majeure, you can choose between a refund for the experience that did not take place or rescheduling the activity for another date (if available). However, the stay cannot be refunded or rescheduled if the terms of the package cancellation policy have already expired.
Can I change the date selected for my stay?
