Think you have a great nose for unmissable experiences? Here's one!
Treat yourself to a one-night getaway to Torri in Sabina: you will stay in an independent flat at an agritourism farmhouse immersed in the countryside, with a whirlpool bath for your exclusive use.
Your stay will be combined with a truffle hunt in the surrounding woods, crowned by a truffle lunch. Talk about sniffing!
What we will do
Check-in is from 3 p. m. at the agriturismo in Torri in Sabina (RI). On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and accompanied to your accommodation.
You will stay in a flat with a double bedroom, private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen. You will also find complete linen , a wood-burning stove for the winter and a sofa bed.
Outside your accommodation, a beautiful whirlpool bath with sensory boule awaits you for your exclusive use, ideal for watching the sunset. Breakfast is included and self-service: in the kitchen you will find selected packaged goods, including milk, yoghurt, biscuits, mocha with coffee, tea and herbal teas.
The adventure in the forest, which you can do on the day of your arrival or departure, will involve you in a real truffle hunt. Together with Claudio and his dog Clara, you will immerse yourselves in nature to unearth this precious mushroom.
The activity will last about one and a half hours and will include an introduction to the world of truffles, with curiosities about the search and training of dogs, followed by the actual hunt. You will follow the truffle hunter and his dog and help to extract the truffle from the ground!
Lunch will be held in the cosy indoor hall or outdoors. The latter includes a bis of appetisers, a first course and a second course seasoned with truffles. The meal includes water and coffee, while wine can be purchased separately.

The experience is available from October to August. Check-in is from 15: 00 and check-out by 10: 00.
The experience also takes place in slightly bad weather at the organiser's discretion.
Truffle hunting may be shared with other participants.
The accommodation has a private en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and sink; please remember to bring your own soaps as they are not provided by the accommodation.

Dogs are allowed free of charge.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. An additional shuttle service to and from the Poggio Mirteto railway station is available at a cost of €20. 00 per group round trip.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
