Full description
Seeing the sun set on the Asiago Plateau, with snowshoes on your feet, will be the most memorable event of this winter!
Join a snowshoe hike at sunset at Cima Larici: an excursion of about 3 and a half hours, in the company of an Alpine Guide, through forests, high-altitude meadows and panoramic viewpoints.
Let the show begin!
What we will do
The appointment is at 16: 00 at the meeting point at Cima Larici in Asiago (VI). Here we will meet the Alpine Guide, who will hand us snowshoes and poles and hold a short initial briefing before departure.
The itinerary of our snowshoe hi ke will be ring-shaped, over a distance of about 5 km, with 250 metres of altitude difference. In the first part, we will walk through an impressive forest of firs and larches. After leaving the forest, we will reach an alpine meadow at altitude, where the panorama will open out onto the Asiago Plateau.
We will continue to a belvedere at about 2, 000 metres, an ideal spot to stop and watch the sunset over the surrounding mountains. On the way back, we will turn on our headlamps, pass through an area of high-altitude Alpine huts, and then back into the forest, back to our starting point.
The total duration of the experience will be about 3 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 12 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The route is easy, with no overhangs or exposed sections, and is ideal for a first snowshoe hike.
Other information
The experience takes place from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 5 participants.
It is advisable to bring a head torch; for those who do not have one, the guide can provide it free of charge on request.
