Full description
Yes,'that verybranch of Lake Como' will be the backdrop to our SUP excursion.
Venture out in the company of an instructor along the Adda River, starting from the Manzonian village of Pescarenico , which was the setting for the events of I Promessi Sposi (The Betrothed). You will paddle in the footsteps of Renzo, Lucia and the other protagonists.
A total experience of 1.5 hours, sailing through Italian literature!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Lecco. We will be welcomed by theinstructor who will accompany us on this SUP adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, a briefing of about 5 minutes will take place during which we will go over the basics of the discipline and familiarise ourselves with the equipment.
And here we are ready to venture into the waters of"that branch of Lake Como" that was the setting for the events of Alessandro Manzoni's I Promessi Sposi (The Betrothed). We will paddle on the river Adda, starting from a small beach in the village of Pescarenico , also known as the 'Manzonian place': in fact, the convent of Fra Cristoforo, another protagonist of the novel, was located here. We will sail following the tracks of Renzo and Lucia, with the mountains in the background.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The SUP excursion will last 1 hour and 20 minutes; the total experience will last 1 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point to sign the release form.
A maximum weight of 110 kg is required to participate. Swimming ability is required to participate.
Previous SUP experience and the ability to paddle standing upright on the board is required to participate.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
There is no changing room on site, but the organiser will provide facilities for changing and storing personal items.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the meeting point and watch the experience unfold; dogs on a leash are permitted.
The membership is valid for 1 year and allows you to participate in other activities at the same centre without paying the relevant fee again.
At the end of the experience it will be possible to stop in the village of Pescarenico to share lunch/aperitif/dinner (optional and not included): please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for more information.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
