One of Sicily's very few liqueur factories is ready to open its doors (and its bottles) to you.
Discover the tradition of liqueur-making by taking part in a guided tour of Casa Nepeta: you will walk through the botanical garden and laboratory, delving into the entire production process from the fragrant harvest to the tasty transformation into liqueur.
There will be a tasting of 3 house liqueurs with the sea of Sicily in the background!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Casa Nepeta in Testa Dell'acqua (SR). We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us to discover the Sicilian liquor tradition!
The activity will begin with a walk through the botanical garden, located in front of the liqueur factory, where the main ingredients of production are cultivated: nepeta herbs, thyme and marjoram. We will be able to smell and touch them, as well as learn about their characteristics and properties: an experience similar to that in a lavender field in Provence, but with the sea of Sicily in the background! This first moment will last 20 minutes.
We will then enter the liqueur factory, or rather the laboratory where the 'magic' happens: the guide will show us the entire production process, which will allow us to appreciate even more the products we will soon taste. We will then go to a dedicated area for the tasting of 3 house liqueurs, each with a protagonist herb, accompanied by assorted local snacks. The backdrop to our toast will be the province of Syracuse, with scenic Noto, and the sea!
The experience will last one and a half hours in total.

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The liquor tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for accompanying minors, abstemious persons and pregnant women who do not participate in the alcoholic tasting. When booking, you can select the options"Participants" with alcoholic tasting or"Accompanying persons" without alcoholic tasting.
The experience is wheelchair accessible.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
