Voulez-vous paté avec. .. Augustali? And no, this is not just about tasting olive pâté, but making it with your own hands!
During this food and wine experience in Partinico,inland from Palermo, you will arm yourself with a mortar and pestle and try your hand at making the typical Sicilian paté.
The reward? An incredible tasting of pate (of course! ), extra virgin olive oil produced at the olive mill, and other typical local specialities such as salami, cheese, wine, honey, and extra jams.
What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the Augustali farm, located in Partinico (PA).
Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us through the vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards of the farm while telling us about its roots, the history of the family and the characteristics of this area.
Afterwards, we will move inside the farm or, depending on the season, under an arcade for the workshop on how to prepare olive pâté, a typical product of the area, which we will not fail to taste.
Following this, we will be offered a tasting of two types of extra virgin olive oil produced by the mill, accompanied by a board served at the table with five Sicilian gastronomic specialities, all produced on the farm. But it doesn't end there, because we will also be able to taste other products from the farm such as honey, extra citrus jams , and 2 glasses of IGP and DOC Sicilian wine.
The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The wine tasting is reserved for participants of legal age only. Minors or persons with astemia will be offered the Sicilian specialities as described combined with fruit juices or non-alcoholic drinks.
The experience is accessible to wheelchair users.
