Full description
Its coastline has inspired poets and painters, from Lord Byron to Montale to William Turner. It is a magical and fascinating place, suspended between the words and images of those who, when visiting it, have fallen in love with it.
You may find it in passionate verse, in the background of a romantic painting, but nothing will ever be like experiencing the Golfo dei Poeti in person with a 3-hour gozzo tour to discover its beauty!
Let yourself be enchanted by Portovenere, the island of Palmaria and the beautiful coves of the gulf while enjoying an aperitif on board.
What we will do
The rendezvous is in La Spezia, 10 minutes before the time chosen at the time of booking.
Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us during the tour on board our gozzo.
We will start our navigation from La Spezia, heading straight for the beautiful island of Palmaria. Here we will enjoy a refreshing swim of about 30 minutes in the waters of Liguria's largest island.
Upon reaching the picturesque Cala dell'Ammiraglio, we will also indulge in a small aperitif with dishes such as focaccia and chips, all washed down with prosecco and soft drinks. Cheers, to us!
Heading towards the islands of Tino and Tinetto, we will pass the famous Grotta di Byron and the statue of Mater Naturae, a unique and evocative work of art set between the rocks and the sea. Finally, we will stop at the enchanting Portovenere, where we will have the opportunity to disembark for a free walk of about 20 minutes.
Finally, we will return to the starting point. The total duration of the tour will be 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The excursion is bookable from mid-April to the end of October, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum number of five people.
The boat used for the tour is a 9 m long and 3.5 m wide gozzo, equipped with a toilet, awning, sundeck and stereo.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers after booking confirmation.
Dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. On request it is possible to reserve a parking space for a fee: please contact the organisers after confirmation of booking.
