If you love discovering ancient legends, this tour is for you! Climb aboard a motor boat and set out to discover the wonders of the Salento coastline and the history they are named after.
Admire Roca Vecchia, the Grotta della Poesia, the Spiaggia dell'Orso, Torre Sant'Andrea and many other unique sights on a 2½-hour excursion during which you can also stop for a swim and some snorkelling.
While you relax in this paradise steeped in seafaring stories and legends, you can sample the snacks on offer and be enchanted by the view of the beautiful surrounding landscape.
What we will do
Departure is from San Foca(LE), one of the marinas of Melendugno. Once everyone has boarded the boat, we will have an introductory briefing of about 10 minutes and then begin our navigation along the Salento coastline.
We will pass through the archaeological area of Roca Vecchia and the Grotta della Poesia, a natural open-air swimming pool. During the navigation we will stop for about 30 minutes in wonderful inlets where it will be possible to swim and admire the beauty of this stretch of coastline.
We will then head towards Torre dell'Orso, where we will be able to admire Le Due Sorelle, two stacks that emerge majestically from the sea, Spiaggia dell'Orso with its fine golden sand, and the various sea caves that we will be able to explore by swimming for 30 minutes.
Continuing south for two miles, we will find the splendid Torre Sant'Andrea, a place where nature displays its majesty through the famous stacks and enchanting bays.
Finally, we will reach Conca Specchiulla, a hidden gem known for its shallow waters and small secret coves. For another 30 minutes, we will alternate between diving from the boat and relaxing moments where we can sunbathe, listen to the guide's stories, and enjoy the snacks and drinks we will be offered (included).
The excursion lasts approximately two and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate in the activity upon signing a waiver from a responsible adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in the activity.
The boat is accessible to people in wheelchairs and those with walking difficulties: it is necessary to communicate this in advance using the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation email.

The activity takes place every day of the year and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 3 participants.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there are free and paid parking spaces nearby.
Theboat on which the activity will take place is an Open boat equipped with cushions, awning and climbing ladder. Snacks and drinks (included) will also be provided during the experience.
It will be necessary to remain barefoot on board the boat.
Schedules may vary depending on the season and weather. In that case you will be notified by the organisation a few days before the activity.
Dogs may be brought on board by notifying the organisers in advance to the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation email and paying a surcharge of €10 on site.
