Port cities are always more beautiful seen from the sea. And if they have a castle reflected in the water, their beauty increases even more. How about discovering the charm of Brindisi from the sea perspective?
Climb aboard a modern inflatable boat and enjoy a one-hour tour of the city bay, from the Swabian Castle to the archipelago of the Pedagne Islands.
You will get off the dinghy with many beautiful photos to take home as a souvenir of your Apulian holiday!
What we will do
We will meet at the Brindisi marina, where the crew will be waiting for us. We will board the spacious 7.5-metre dinghy and, once everyone is seated on board, we will be ready to set sail.
We will head straight for the Alfonsino Castle, next to the Forte a Mare, and then on to the Sailor's Monument. We will be able to admire the grandeur of the monument, consisting of a large 53-metre-high rudder, which stands out against the city harbour to commemorate those who fell at sea.
But our tour does not end here, because the dinghy will also take us past Brindisi's most important fortress: the Swabian Castle, also known as the "Castello di Terra" (land castle) to distinguish it from the sea castle (Castello Alfonsino).
Leaving the city behind us, we will move towards the open sea to reach the Pedagne Islands, a small archipelago of six islets that literally embrace the bay.
Finally, we will return to the starting point. No bathing stops are planned. The excursion lasts approximately one hour.

The rubber dinghy provided by the staff is 7.5 metres long with a power of 150 horsepower. The boat can carry a maximum of 12 passengers, plus 3 crew members.
Dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
