Yes but, do you know what an 'trabocco' is? A trabocco is an ancient fishing machine typical of the Abruzzo coastline recognised as a monumental heritage!
Not only can you spot many of them, you can actually pass underneath them by taking part in our kayak tour. Our guide has designed a route to discover the main attractions of the Costa dei Trabocchi, with a swim stop at a natural pool.
A 3-hour experience, only in Abruzzo!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Fossacesia (CH). I will be there to welcome you, your guide in this adventure in the sea of Abruzzo!
The experience will begin with a briefing of about 30 minutes during which I will explain to you the basic paddling techniques for paddling a kayak independently, without any worries. Once we are familiar with the equipment, we will be ready to venture into the water to discover the Costa dei Trabocchi. And yes, we will pass right under the Trabocchi with our kayak!
The first one we will encounter will be Trabocco Punta Rocciosa, followed by Spiaggia della Fuggitella. We will pass under Trabocco Pesce Palombo and Trabocco Punta Punciosa, to Trabocco di Punta Cavalluccio. And again Trabocco Spezzacatena to Trabocco Punta Torre; the latter is framed by rocks that have created a natural pool where we will stop for a swim.
We will finally return to the meeting point after a 5 km walk. The experience lasts a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age.
The weight limit for participation is a maximum of 100 kg.
It is not necessary to be able to swim to participate.
Other information
The experience is available from the end of March to October , subject to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion.
Single and double kayaks are available: kayak allocation is decided by the organiser based on the number and age of participants. Children from 6 to 11 years old must participate in a double kayak with an adult; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.
You will be able to store any personal items such as keys, mobile phones and wallets in a watertight bag; if necessary, you are allowed to carry a bag or backpack with a maximum capacity of 15 litres.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in the experience.
If you suffer from seasickness , we recommend that you take anti-nausea medication before the excursion.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
