Have you ever heard of Cavalier Trimigno Michele? He is the man who has given the most bizarre names to the spectacular caves of the Gargano and today it is your turn to discover them!
Set sail on a motorboat excursion that will take you from Vieste to the famous Baia delle Zagare, where imposing cliffs, sea caves and legendary stacks are reflected in the blue.
A 3-hour adventure among nature, ancient tales and an unmissable dip in a paradise beach!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Vieste (FG) . After being welcomed by the crew, we will board the 90-seater motorboat to begin our navigation along the south coast, immediately entering the historic part of the town.
During the excursion we will skirt around 20 km of coastline rich in vegetation, cliffs and natural ravines. We will admire the Gargano's most famous sea caves from the outside, such as Grotta Sfondata and Grotta dei due Occhi. The crew will guide us along the route, describing all the curiosities and legends of these coastal treasures.
We will sail to the famous stacks of Pizzomunno and the Zagare, passing the enchanting natural arch of San Felice. The captain will then take us to the tour's only and exclusive stop.
We will in fact disembark on the Spiaggia dei Gabbiani (Seagulls' Beach) via a convenient docking ladder. Here we will have about 40 minutes to swim and relax on the pebble beach, also taking advantage of the bar and toilets on site.
Finally, we will re-board to enjoy the journey back to the harbour, admiring the gigantic white cliffs overlooking the sea one last time. The activity will last about three hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is wheelchair and mobility-impaired accessible; staff can support any passengers with mobility difficulties in boarding. The experience is accessible to pregnant women.
Other information
The activity runs from June until October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 15 participants. The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is an 18-metre long motorboat with on-board toilets. Snacks and drinks are not included in the fee, but are freely available at the bar on board or at the kiosk during stops on the beach.
Dogs of all sizes are welcome on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. On-site parking is available for a fee.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
