Full description
Those who say the mountain is silent have never heard it roar at night.
In Madesimo, the headlights will cut through the darkness, the snow will glisten under the moon and the silence will be broken only by the roar of the snowmobiles.
An evening excursion of about 4 hours, between a stop for mulled wine and a typical dinner in a mountain hut, for those who love adventure. .. but who also know how to enjoy the food!
What we will do
The appointment is at 18: 30 at the meeting point in Madesimo (SO) . After the initial briefing, the instructors will explain how to drive the snowmobile and take us on a short test ride to get familiar with the vehicle.
At 19: 00 the engines will start and we will begin the adventure. We will set off on an hour-long hike along snowy paths, following the light of the headlights in the night. From an altitude of 1, 550 metres, we will reach the Cava, a spectacular vantage point from which we will be able to admire the lights of Madesimo from above, and then continue towards the Montespluga dam, completely covered in snow and ice and illuminated by moonlight.
We will walk along the frozen lake and on to Montespluga, a few kilometres from the Swiss border, surrounded by larch forests and silent alpine pastures. Along the way there will also be a scenic stop to admire the sleeping mountain and enjoy a hot mulled wine.
We will then depart for the La Baitella hut, where a typical mountain dinner (included) prepared with local ingredients and served in a warm and cosy atmosphere will await us. The menu will include appetiser, two first courses, meat with polenta, dessert, coffee, water and 1/4 wine per person.
After dinner, we will get back on the snowmobile for the return journey: a journey of about 15 minutes through snow, silence and the light trail of the headlights reflecting on the track. The experience will last about 4 hours in total, including excursion, stop, dinner and return.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. The passenger must be at least 6 years old.
The excursion is of an easy level. No experience is required, but one must be able to handle the vehicle safely and with concentration. The organisers reserve the right to ask the participant to take part in the activity as a passenger instead of a driver.
It is not suitable for pregnant women.
Other information
The experience takes place from January to March on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 snowmobiles.
Driver and passenger can swap driving during the excursion if both have a B licence.
It is possible to participate as a passenger on board the guide's snowmobile at a cost of 140€.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
