A walk in nature, a walk in history, a tour that combines fairytale views with monuments and architectural works rooted in distant centuries, constantly accompanied by views of the sea.
This fascinating trekking itinerary starts from the Badia di Cava de' Tirreni and winds its way along the Monti Lattari until it reaches the Sanctuary of the same name in the upper part of the village of Maiori.
From here you will dominate the entire area below from a height of 1,000 metres, having a memorable view before you. A different way to experience the Amalfi Coast, discovering new sides of it!
What we will do
Our journey on the Sanctuary of the Avvocata Sanctuary Trail begins around 8 a. m. in Cava de' Tirreni (SA), near the ancient Abbey of the Holy Trinity, a splendid Benedictine abbey rich in artistic treasures, including frescoes, mosaics, sculptures and sarcophagi.
From here we will set out on the Alta Via dei Lattari trail. This is an almost 90 km long trail, which crosses the entire Lattari Mountains from Cava de' Tirreni to Punta Campanella. We will only walk the first part of the path until we reach the majestic Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Avvocata in the upper part of Maiori.
The Santuario dell'Avvocata is situated at analtitude of almost 1000 metres and dominates the Amalfi Coast, offering its visitors an unimaginable view. From up there we will be in the presence of the most beautiful villages: Vietri sul Mare, Maiori, Cetara and Ravello. A unique spectacle!
The path we will face is generally classified as easy in hiking guides. However, you should be aware that some sections will be uphill and that we will encounter several times the typical steps of the Amalfi Coast, which climb between the rocks and test your knees. But don't worry, the spectacular landscape will not make the exertions in vain!
The activity lasts about 5 hours in total and ends with the return by shuttle bus to the meeting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level and open to everyone, with no age limit. One must be in good health, used to long walks and not suffer from knee joint problems, as there will be steps and uphill stretches on the route.

Attention! You must arrive at the meeting place at least 15 minutes in advance.
The activity is confirmed upon reaching 6 participants and takes place every Saturday from April to October with a morning departure.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
