Immerse yourself in the nature and landscapes of the Tuscan countryside with a trekking tour together with an environmental guide who will take you along the most beautiful paths of Monte Amiata.
Discover the surprises of the area between the Maremma and Val d'Orcia and spend half a day in the countryside for a regenerating experience in contact with the environment.
End on a high note with an unmissable tasting of typical Tuscan products and savour the authentic flavours of this wonderful land.
What we will do
We will meet at Prato delle Macinaie, in Castel del Piano (GR). We will meet the environmental guide who will accompany us on the tour and, after a brief introductory briefing, we will set off on our trekking route.
Monte Amiata is a relief of volcanic origin located between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto. At 1,738 metres high, it is one of the main reliefs of theTuscan Apennines and offers stupendous panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and countryside.
The guide will take us on the most suggestive routes - selected according to our preferences, level and environmental conditions - such as the one leading to the monumental Cross of Monte Amiata. We will walk under the coolness of the beech forests and, whichever itinerary we choose, we will be captivated by the enchanting landscapes that from the top of the mountain open up over the entire Tuscan countryside.
The culmination of our walk will be a tasting of typical products: wine, extra virgin olive oil, cold cuts and many other regional specialities. The activity will last a total of four hours and will conclude with a return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and does not require any special requirements other than being used to walking in nature. Participation is possible from the age of 8 and up.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from April to October, weather permitting, and is reserved for private groups of a maximum of 8 participants.
The route will vary in length and difficulty depending on the level of the participants and will be decided by mutual agreement with the environmental guide.
It is possible to request a different departure time from those indicated on the calendar, subject to the guide's availability.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
