Who does not remember the landscape that forms the backdrop to the final scene of the film The Gladiator, with rolling hills and wheat fields as far as the eye can see? This 6-hour trekking tour will take you right there, to the 'Elysian Fields' traversed by Maximus Decimus Meridius, the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany!
History, nature and gastronomy will be the ingredients of the excursion, with departure from San Quirico d'Orcia and arrival in Pienza. You will also have the opportunity to taste local cheeses and cold cuts, accompanied by a glass of wine.

What we will do
We will meet in San Quirico d'Orcia (SI) at the time chosen when booking. Equipped with trekking poles and accompanied by an Environmental Hiking Guide, we will begin our walk through the cultivated fields of the Val d'Orcia.
Along the way, the iconic 'Elysian Fields' will open up before our eyes: the rolling Tuscan hills, with their long rows of cypress trees and cultivated fields. Along the way, we will listen to tales and curiosities about the places we will pass through, in order to deepen our knowledge of the area also from a historical point of view.
After about 2 hours of trekking we will reach Pienza, which will captivate us with its UNESCO heritage centre, beautiful cathedral and panoramic views over the Val d'Orcia. We will also stop for an aperitif of typical products, with a cheese and cold cuts board and a good glass of wine (aperitif included).
From Pienza we will set out again to return to the starting point. The total duration of the activity will be about 6 hours, of which at least 4 hours will be spent trekking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and open to everyone from the age of 10.
No special hiking experience is required, but good physical condition and the ability to walk at a slow pace for at least 4 hours are necessary.

The activity takes place from March to June during weekends and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
