Rock climbing test at Maratea

You never forget your first time with a wall .

Even more so if the wall is the Falesia di San Biagio, in the beautiful natural setting of Maratea. In this setting, an IAMAS climbing instructor will pass on all his knowledge and passion for this sport, teaching you how to climb on rock.

A 3-hour experience, during which you will climb higher and higher with each new route!

What we will do

I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the retry point in Maratea (PZ). I, your climbing instructor, will welcome you!

Once at the meeting point, each participant will provide his or her own means of transport; this is because it is best to reach the climbing point with as little transport as possible. The transfer will last 5 minutes and will take us to the start of the route to the San Biagio crag. From here we will continue on foot along a short path through the undergrowth, which is particularly steep and lasts 10 minutes.

And here we are in the setting where the experience will take place: here I will explain how the activity will be carried out, hand over the equipment, and provide you with all the information you need to venture onto the wall. The San Biagio cliff has routes of varying difficulty, all of which have a maximum height of 20 metres and can be climbed in about 5 to 20 minutes. Thanks to my teachings , you will start from the easiest route and then progress in level and become more and more passionate about this discipline!

All this in a beautiful natural setting, with views of the Gulf of Policastro, Mount Bulgheria and Punta Infreschi.

We will then return to the meeting point. The wall climbing will last about 3 hours; the experience will last about 5 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The activity is not recommended for people suffering from heart disease or shoulder injuries.

The experience is of an easy level, also suitable for first-time climbers.

Attention! This activity involves transfers by own means.

The experience is available from October to May and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 3 participants.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. If this is the case, it is possible to reach the Maratea railway station and request the free shuttle service by contacting the organiser at the contact details indicated in the e-mail confirming your reservation.
