Did you know there is an exact spot where two seas shake hands? Welcome to Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme edge of Italy!
Set sail on a 4-hour boat trip to discover the Ionian and Adriatic sides. Together with a skipper, you will explore legendary caves and snorkel in turquoise waters, ending on a high note with a tasty aperitif.
A Salento adventure that will remain etched in your phone memory (but especially in your heart) !
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Torre Vado (LE) . Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our excursion on board the boat Taras.
Once the group is formed, we will cast off our moorings and start sailing along the Ionian side of the peninsula. We will admire the Grotta del Drago (Dragon's Cave) , the Grotta della Stalla (Cave of the Stable ) and the Grotta del Presepe ( Cave of the Cave of the Giants ) and the Grotta delle Tre Porte ( Cave of the Three Gates).
After passing Punta Ristola, the famous 'heel of Italy', we will reach Santa Maria di Leuca. Here we will hear fascinating historical facts about the town before heading towards Punta Meliso, the exact meeting point of the Ionian and Adriatic seas.
The journey will continue on the Adriatic side, where we will explore caves such as Grotta di Terradico, Tenda degli Indiani, Grotta dei Gabbiani, Verdusella, Grotta del Soffio and Grotta della Vora. During the tour we will have a bathing stop of about 1 hour and, for those who wish to snorkel, we will have on board integral masks for adults and children.
To end on a high note, we will enjoy an aperitif with typical Salento cuisine and seasonal fruit, accompanied by prosecco, water and lemon or peach tea.
Finally, we will reverse course to return to our starting point. The activity will last a total of 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is accessible by wheelchair and persons with reduced mobility; please indicate the presence of a wheelchair after confirming your booking.

The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 10 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is the Taras, which is 17 metres long and equipped with a kitchen, separate bathrooms for men and women, and a bar service. There are covered and uncovered areas on board for maximum comfort.
Dogs are not allowed on board.

The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport. On-site parking is available for a fee.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
