The most characteristic way to explore Venice? From the water, of course!
This is possible by taking part in our kayak tour: in the company of a guide, you will paddle through the canals of the Cannaregio sestriere until you reach Fondamenta Nove and spot theIsland of San Michele on the horizon.
A 2-hour experience to get to know the city from a new perspective!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Venice. We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this kayaking adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, theequipment will be handed over and a briefing of about 10 minutes on how to use the kayak will take place. We will then enter the water one at a time with the support of the guide, to get familiar with the kayak and practice changing direction.
Ready to venture into the canals of Venice, our excursion will begin: we will paddle through the Cannaregio sestriere to Fondamenta Nove, exiting into the open lagoon to admire theIsland of San Michele on the horizon. We will proceed at a leisurely pace, to better appreciate the beauty of the city, while the guide will recount anecdotes and curiosities about Venice, ranging from historical notes to advice on the best bacari!
We will finally return to the meeting point, continuing our exploration of the canals. The kayak excursion will last 1 hour and 40 minutes; the total experience will last 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 6 years of age; children under 18 must participate with an adult.
The excursion is of an easy level and suitable for first-time kayaking experience.
A maximum weight of 130 kg is required to participate. It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate.
The experience is prohibited for people with heart problems and pregnant women from the third month.
Other information
The experience takes place from March to October.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
The organisation has single kayaks and/or double kayaks available: you can communicate your preference but allocation will be at the guide's discretion.
On site, there are changing rooms with lockers for storing personal items.
