Full description
Several experiences in one, to fully experience the Susa Valley area.
This is the case of our Via Ferrata in the Orrido di Foresto: between wall climbs and Tibetan bridges, an adventure in the evocative natural setting of a gorge bathed by scenic waterfalls. But it doesn't end here: once this first part has been completed, we proceed along a panoramic path with views of the Sacra di San Michele andOrsiera.
In the company of a mountain guide, spend 4 and a half hours in the midst of nature at a short distance from Turin!
What we will do
The appointment is at 09:30 at the meeting point in Foresto (TO).
Here we will meet the mountain guide who will accompany us on this high-altitude adventure and hand over the necessaryequipment for the hike.
Once we have donned our harnesses and learnt the behavioural rules to be followed during the hike, we will set off on a short 10-minute walk that will lead us into the scenery of the Via Ferrata. We are talking about theOrrido di Foresto, a deep gorge where a river flows, fed by the snows of Rocciamelone, decorated with majestic walls, impetuous waterfalls and natural pools.
During the itinerary we will face vertical walls equipped with iron ladders and no less than three Tibetan bridges that will lead us to the other side of the river after 3 and a half hours. Once we find the exit of the gorge, we will stop for about 30 minutes for a lunch break (not included, to be brought from home) with a view of the Susa Valley.
We will finally return to the meeting point by walking down a panoramic path for 30 minutes, greeting the Sacra di San Michele andOrsiera on the horizon. The experience lasts a total of 4½ hours.
