Enter the Casentino Valley, too, by taking part in our horseback ride in Romena: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will venture into the Tuscan landscape on the traces of the Divine Comedy and beyond.
An experience of over 2 hours, enriched by a brunch based on local products and recipes!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before 10.30 a.m. at the meeting point in Romena, in the municipality of Pratovecchio Stia (AR). Awaiting us will be the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will proceed to saddle up and learn the basics of horse riding. The guide will not fail to provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into the Casentino Valley, following the path that leads from Romena Castle to Pieve di Romena. Along the way we will encounter the Fonte Branda, an attraction of great historical and cultural importance mentioned in Dante's Divine Comedy! There will also be panoramic views of Porciano Castle and Pioppi Castle.
During the excursion we will stop in a meadow for our brunch based on local products and recipes: mixed starters, a cold first course including pappa al pomodoro, panzanella or ribollita, dessert and coffee; drinks included.
We will then return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last 1 ½ hours; the total experience will last 2 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
The experience requires a maximum weight of 100 kg.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first horse ride.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
