Is there anything more dreamy than a horseback ride on the beach?
Yes, and this experience exemplifies it. Not only will you ride on one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily , but you might even meet the sea turtles that inhabit it! And you will also spot theIsle of Correnti on the horizon where our equestrian guide reminds us that 'the two seas kiss'.
A1-hour experience in a beautiful natural setting overlooking the Mediterranean Sea!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Santa Maria del Focallo (RG). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will proceed to saddle up and listen to the guide provide us with the basics of horse riding and all the useful information for a carefree experience. The guide will lead the excursion on horseback or on foot, depending on the needs of the individual participant.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture onto the Santa Maria del Focallo Beach, considered one of the most beautiful in Sicily, characterised by sand dunes decorated with Mediterranean scrub. With theIsola delle Correnti on the horizon, where the Mediterranean Sea and the Ionian Sea meet, we will stroll along the seashore with the possibility of riding in the water. This beautiful natural setting is home to sea turtles, which come here to lay their eggs!
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last 1 hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from 3 years of age.
Children up to the age of 11 who do not ride the horse together with an adult pay full fare, as they will be supervised by a dedicated guide.
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to May; from June to September, only the sunrise or evening/night hike is available. The experience is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
It is possible for 2 people to ride 1 horse. Please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to indicate your preference to ride together.
