Come to Paganico, in the province of Grosseto , and enjoy a 2-hour adventure riding through rivers and unforgettable landscapes.
So, are you ready to saddle up?
What we will do
The meeting will take place at the riding school in Paganico (GR). Our equestrian guide will be waiting for us, ready to accompany us on our horseback adventure.
First of all, we will be assigned a steed, chosen according to our needs and previous experience. During this first phase we will learn the basics of horse riding, discover some interesting facts about horses and, thanks to the advice of our experienced guide, get an idea of what awaits us once we are in the saddle.
Equipped with a helmet and full equipment, we will head into the enclosure that will host our dress rehearsal: here we will put into practice the lessons we have learnt, a few sequences of actions on horseback and, finally, we will be ready to go!
We will leave the riding stables in the company of the equestrian guide: if there are less than 4 of us, he will follow us on horseback, otherwise he will carry out the walk on the ground, remaining at our side at all times. The route is about 3.5 km long, has numerous differences in altitude and is also suitable for beginner riders, provided they have a great desire to have fun!
The ride will take us through different and surprising landscapes: among scrub and fields, we will explore the Paganico estate in the saddle of our steed, until we reach the three rivers that flow through this characteristic village: the Gretano, theOmbrone and the Lanzo.
We will first ride along the Gretano, catching a glimpse of Paganico's evocative town walls , and then reach the banks of the Ombrone. As we approach the second river, we will be greeted by the loud lapping of its waters, which happily echoes throughout the landscape.
At this point it will be time to enter the heart of our adventure: we will ford the river on horseback, earning the reputation of expert horsemen! To commemorate this achievement, our guide will take beautiful photographs of us.
We will let our horses frolic in the water and, in hot weather, join them for a refreshing dip. At the end of this wonderful interlude, we will be back in the saddle again. We will ride past beautiful cultivated fields, walk along the Lanzo stream and cross a small bridge back to the riding stables.
The whole experience will last approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 14 years of age. Children under the age of 18 may participate accompanied or by presenting a signed waiver.
A maximum weight of 120 kg is required for the activity.

The activity is available all year round.
The route is approximately 3.5 km long, has a maximum height difference of 20 m and is suitable for beginners.
English-style riding will be used during the walk.
Accompanying persons can stop at the riding stables. A visit to the village of Paganico, about 10 minutes' walk away, is recommended.
Leashed dogs are allowed.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.
