A wonderful experience
A wonderful experience, really good fun – definitely one to repeat. William was brilliant! After explaining all the safety instructions to us, he made sure we had a truly lovely day combining sport, nature and fun.

My birthday at the rafting centre
Hi, we’re Chiara and Youssef! We were at your place today for Youssef’s birthday – I had a brilliant time… Bye for now! I’ve borrowed Chiara’s phone – it’s Youssef here. A great activity for those new to packrafting
At the meeting point, there was no one to be seen at the agreed time; I sent a quick message and soon received a reply from Alessandro – it turned out the meeting point had changed and I’d missed the email. No problem – I was sent the new coordinates. It was a lovely afternoon of packrafting, my first time. We were given a briefing on how to use the paddles and paddle safely. Then we set off onto the water. The instructor was patient and helpful. The water level was a bit low, so we regularly got stuck on the rocks. We’d then wait until we were back on our way. Halfway through, we stopped briefly to dip our feet in the water, then carried on to the end point where someone was waiting to take us to the car with the driver, who would then be able to pick us up afterwards. We hadn’t been told this beforehand, but luckily we had our own car with us, so it wasn’t a problem.

Paddling like a happy mermaid on the wave of my 52nd year
I treated myself to a fun adventure for my birthday, sharing this little adventure with my two children, Lorenzo and Azzurra! The instructors were really on the ball, friendly and able to put you at ease. I’m sure I’ve got photos of myself in some embarrassing situations – straddling rocks or even with my back turned as we navigated the little rapids – but I swear it was great fun and very relaxed. I’d recommend it even to those who are a bit of a scaredy-cat like me…On the final stretch, I even took William’s friendly advice to ride the canoe upside down and showed off my mermaid skills (or perhaps monk seal skills!??) – well done, everyone! We’ll definitely be back for more adventures!
