Full description
Spend a few hours immersed in the peace of the mountains with a 2-hour Prato Nevoso snowshoe hike.
An experienced guide will take you up to an altitude of 2,000 metres, where you can enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Cuneo Alps. You will cross enchanting paths and snow-covered forests, until you reach a beautiful frozen lake.
Get ready to enteranother dimension, where silence and pure mountain air will be the protagonists!
What we will do
We will meet the guide at 10:00 a.m. at the Baita del Verde in Prato Nevoso (CN). After an introductory briefing on the route, we will be given snowshoes and poles (included in the participation fee) and we will take the evocative "La Rossa" cable car to reach the altitude.
Climbing to around 2,000 metres, our snowshoe hike will begin. Together with the guide, we will walk for about 1 hour in the direction of the Balma Refuge, up to the Scalette Lake, towards the Rocche Giardina. Along the way, we will cross enchanting snow-covered paths, admiring the mountain peaks and the frozen lake framed in winter colours.
Once we reach the lake, we will follow the same route back for another hour or so. There will be no lack of stops at the most scenic spots to take a few photos and capture the breathtaking view of the Cuneo Alps.
The activity lasts a total of 2 hours and ends with the return to the starting point.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point approximately 30 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.
This activity can be carried out every Friday from December to April, subject to snow and weather conditions, and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
