Follow the tracks of the wild animals that roam free in the Gran Paradiso National Park. Framing your safari will be the peaks of the Alps and endless meadows.
If you love nature, this walk will allow you to admire marmots, chamois, bearded vultures and golden eagles up close.
From Valsavarenche, the Nature Hiking Guides will lead you to discover the best spots to observe wild nature in all its splendour.
What we will do
We will meet in Valsavarenche, in the province of Aosta , at the time chosen at the time of booking. We will set off on foot from the car park and walk along paths through Alpine forests frequented by wonderful free-roaming wild animals.
With the Alpine Safari, we will have the chance to admire statuesque ibexes posing to be photographed. In the meadows we will be able to spot young and adult marmots engaged in socialising rituals, and with a watchful eye we may even spot some chamois running from one end of the forest to the other.
Turning our gaze upwards, we can admire golden eagles, queens of the alpine sky, and lammergeyers, massive vultures that choose the Gran Paradiso to nest. The majesty of these birds will leave us speechless.
Our walk will be framed by snow-capped peaks and endless meadows, in a setting of exceptional beauty that will allow us to admire wild nature in all its integrity.
The activity will last approximately 3 hours. As a rule, an altitude difference of about 200 metres will be covered.
Who it is aimed at
The hiking activity is suitable for everyone. The minimum age for participation is 12 years.
Other information
Depending on the distribution of the animals, the activity will take place at analtitude of over 1600 m or in some cases even around 2000 m.
The activity takes place on the dates indicated from April to November.
It is necessary to arrive 15 minutes before the time selected during the booking process.
The activity is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 6 participants.
During the excursion, it is important to follow the instructions of the nature guide, so that you can get as close as possible to the animals without disturbing them.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
