The Etna Parkis one of the most popular destinations, not only because it is a protected area but also because unforgettable adventures can be had there. One of them all? Our horseback riding day for experts!
Here's what's in store for you: a saddle excursion to the top of Monte Vetore, crossing lava flows and passing through the Grotta dell'Immacolata, for a total of 18 km.
You can't miss a lunch in a refuge with a view of the Riviera dei Ciplopi and the Valle del Bove!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the appointed location 10 minutes before the booking time. I will be there to welcome you, an equestrian guide who will accompany you in the saddle on this day of horseback riding with English riding!
After the first 15 minutes in the saddle, we will embark on a loop trail on forest paths leading to Monte Vetore. On the way, we will encounter the Grotta dell'Immacolata and cross lava flows of different dates. I will guide you, riding my trusty horse.
Finally reaching the summit of Monte Vetore, we will stop for a 3-course lunch at the refuge (included). Before retracing our steps (or our footsteps), we will admire splendid views: the Riviera dei Ciclopi, Ortigia, Mount Etna and the Valle del Bove.
We will then return to the meeting point, following different forest paths than the previous ones. We will cover approximately 18 km in 4 hours, for a total experience of 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 16.
Horse riding experience is required to participate: knowledge of the three gaits (gait, trot, gallop) is required.
Other information
The activity is available from January to December, weather permitting.
The duration of the experience may vary depending on the number and experience level of participants (6-8 hours).
