A wonderful experience with the horses!
I treated my girlfriend to this experience for our anniversary. We spent a relaxing afternoon exploring the Alcantara area. It was wonderful to spend time surrounded by the local natural beauty; it’s a marvellous experience to enjoy and to give as a gift. We’d recommend it to anyone who fancies exploring, having fun and immersing themselves in the scenery. The horses are beautiful and well-behaved; the instructor accompanies you throughout the ride and also provides insights into the landscape you pass through. We’d also advise you to follow the rule of wearing long trousers, as you’ll come across plants along the route that might cause discomfort. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that we’d recommend to anyone – no previous experience with horses is necessary – and one we’ll definitely be doing again!

Horse-riding excursion in the Alcantara Valley and a visit to a local winery
A very interesting experience, with the first part of the day devoted to a horse-riding excursion (rediscovering those slow rhythms we so desperately need in today’s society) in a truly captivating natural setting; the second part was devoted to a visit to the Tornatore winery, where the pursuit of quality in the finished product goes hand in hand with a deep knowledge of the local area and a love for the land that allows it to be showcased to the full. Overall, the experience was well worth the price, and these days it’s by no means easy to find such a good deal for the customer. Well done on the package – it’s very well put together.

Best Western in Sicily – (as in the video game *Mafia: Old Country*)
An absolutely fantastic experience! It’s near the Alcantara Gorges, and we were impressed by the owner’s kindness, friendliness and professionalism. He managed the group with great skill, even on a dynamic and varied route. The horses are really well-behaved and well-trained: even as beginners, we always felt safe and were able to call them back easily.nnThe route is wonderful and very picturesque: pastures, dirt tracks (watch out for thorns – it’s all very rural), footpaths, small waterfalls, streams and pools of water, with Mount Etna in the background. It felt like being in a film! In summer, we recommend choosing a time towards the evening, as it can get really hot during the hottest part of the day.nnJust one small note: pay attention to the directions to reach the starting point, as the last 300–400 metres are beyond the point indicated on the website

Horses, thrills and wonder: an experience not to be missed
I’d been wanting to treat my partner to this experience for a long time, and as I only had one day’s holiday available, I decided to go ahead and do it at last.nnGiuseppe is an experienced and passionate guide. You can immediately sense his love for his work and for these wonderful animals. He’s a keen observer, with a special knack for understanding people and matching them with the most suitable horse, creating a truly special bond.nnIt was a wonderful experience, surrounded by nature and accompanied by a beautiful sense of freedom. A memory we’ll cherish forever.nnI promised Giuseppe and his brother Angelo that we’d come back to see them. If you’re looking for a new, authentic experience that’s a bit out of the ordinary, Giuseppe is definitely the right person!nnIt was a marvellous experience

Well worth the money!
We had a brilliant time; we took the route from the city to Mount Etna, which took us to a lovely winery (Gambino). The horses were a bit snacky but very well-behaved, easy to control and well desensitised. The team packed us some water and sandwiches, which were perfect for taking a break and recharging our batteries. We never felt rushed. It was a lovely trail ride – you’ll definitely need long trousers and to watch out for thorns. Good balance is essential for some of the trickier sections of the trail. Stunning views – highly recommended!
