If you think the mountains are at their best during the day, the Valmalenco is ready to prove you wrong: at dusk it lights up with colours that seem borrowed from another planet!
Join a 3-hour snowshoe hi ke in the company of an Alpine Guide, through snow-covered pastures, forests and glimpses of mountain villages. Depending on your departure time, your adventure will take place at dusk or in the moonlight.

What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Caspoggio (SO) . Here we will meet the Alpine Guide, who will explain the course of the evening.
From here, we will transfer with our car for about 15 minutes to the Valmalenco location chosen for the excursion, which may vary depending on snow conditions. Once there, we will prepare ourselves with snowshoes and poles (not included, can be rented on site) and participate in an introductory briefing.
We will then start snowshoeing along a 6-8 km route with 300 metres of altitude difference, suitable for everyone. We will cross pastures and stretches of forest, with wide views of the Valmalenco valley. The snowshoe hike will take place at sunset or in the evening - depending on the date chosen - and in both cases we will enjoy a magical experience, with the snow coloured in the shades of the setting sun or the full moon.
As darkness arrives, we will put on our headlamps(not included, they can be hired on site) and continue the walk in a muffled and evocative atmosphere, until we return to the starting point.
The experience will last approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, even first-time snowshoers.
Children from 9 years of age can participate, accompanied by an adult.
The route has no exposed sections.

The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed when there are at least 7 participants.
The guide will contact you the day before the experience to inform you of the exact time according to the best conditions.
The excursion is scheduled, depending on the day, at sunset (departure at 15: 30) or in the evening (departure at 17: 00) .
You are allowed to bring your dog with you during the activity, as long as it is on a leash, and muzzled if medium-large.
Equipment hire costs €13 (snowshoes and poles) or €15 (snowshoes, poles and head torch) and must be booked in advance by contacting the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation email.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; you will need your own car for the short initial journey.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
