Do you dream of riding through the Etna Park and discovering impervious places, immersed in a landscape shaped by volcanic action? If your answer is yes, this half-day horseback ride is the perfect excursion for you.
In the company of an equestrian guide, you will start your adventure in Linguaglossa to reach the Monte Crisimo refuge. Here you can rest and have breakfast, before resuming your ride and descending through an ancient lava flow.

What we will do
The appointment is in Linguaglossa, in the province of Catania.
We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide, who will introduce us to our horse and provide us with the necessary equipment and directions for the excursion.
We will ride uphill from the town of Linguaglossa along the paths that lead into Etna Park and, after a couple of hours in the saddle, we will reach the Monte Crisimo refuge, at an altitude of 1140 metres. Here we will take a break to relax, let the horses rest and water, and have breakfast (included) with a good sandwich.
We will then get back on our horses and descend along the 1923 lava flow on Etna's northern slope. We will ride through landscapes characterised by olive groves and vineyards until we return to Linguaglossa, after riding approximately 22 km.
The activity will last a total of four and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The horseback ride is intended for experienced riders, as the route involves rough paths and differences in altitude. Knowledge of pacing, trotting and galloping is required.
The minimum age for participation is 12 years. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
The maximum permitted height is 1.85 metres and the maximum weight is 90 kg.
After confirming your booking, you must inform the organisers of your height and weight, whether you are pregnant and whether you have a back condition.

The activity is available all year round, every day, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Breakfast included includes a sandwich and water. Please report any food intolerances and allergies to the organisers at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.
The ranch cannot be reached by public transport.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
