Canoe trip on the River Tirino with aperitif

Imagine paddling on a river so transparent that you can see the bottom at every stroke of the oar. You are in the heart of Abruzzo, on the Tirino river, one of the clearest in Europe.

Among lush vegetation, emerald waters and the most rejuvenating silence you could wish for, a beautifultwo-hour canoe trip in the company of an expert guide awaits you.

And, to end in style, a tasty panoramic aperitif overlooking the Tirino valley!

What we will do

The meeting point is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Capestrano (AQ).

Here we will meet our guide and with the whole group we will move to San Martino, where the boarding point on the river Tirino is located. Before we begin our adventure, we will have an introductory briefing in which we will find out how to paddle safely and how to behave on the river.

We will paddle aboard 3-seater Canadian canoes, on each of which 2 passengers plus a companion will travel. We will be given a paddle so that we can take an active part in navigating along a route of approximately 5 km.

The waters of the River Tirino are so clear that we will be able to see aquatic plants, fish, and light dancing on the bottom. We will be completely immersed in unspoilt nature, among reeds and trees reflected in the water. The guide will tell us interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, as well as stories and anecdotes related to the area.

At the end of the excursion, we will move to theEcoristoro Valle del Tirino, where we can enjoy an aperitif with typical local products: cheese, cold cuts, bread and local oil, accompanied by a glass of Abruzzo wine. All served on a panoramic terrace overlooking the valley.

The activity will last a total of 2 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 1 year of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Children up to the age of 5 with a maximum weight of 20 kg and a maximum height of 1 metre may travel in the middle of the canoe, seated between the two adults (maximum one child per canoe, who participates free of charge). In this case, you must report the presence of the child to the organisers after booking. Children 6 years and older will occupy one of the two standard seats on the canoe and pay the 'Participant' fee.

A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.

Other information

This activity is available from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Dogs weighing a maximum of 9 kg can be taken on board the canoe. Alternatively, a dog sitter service is available on site.

Free parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
