Full description
Treat yourself to a horseback ride and a moment of true cowboy life fording the Cornia river in Tuscany.
In the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride to Monte Peloso, where you can admire the quarries from which granite was once extracted. Here you will stop for a tasty gastronomic stop in perfect Maremma style, with a fire lit for outdoor cooking.

What we will do
We will meet at the stables in Suvereto (LI), at the time chosen for the excursion.
As soon as we arrive, we will get to know the guide and break the ice with the horse we will be assigned. Afterwards, the guide will hold an introductory briefing to teach us how to mount and handle the horse.
After this small smattering of riding, we will leave the stables to ride along a breathtaking nature trail to the Cornia River. If conditions permit, we can ford a small stretch of the river, which crosses the valley to flow into the sea near Piombino.
Once past this adventurous part, we will continue until we reach the Monte Peloso hillock. This is a hill where granite was once quarried and where we can admire the old quarries. Here we will camp and enjoy lunch or dinner (depending on the season), cooked on site with typical Maremma products such as beans and grilled meat.
After the stop, we will resume our walk towards Suvereto, passing through golden fields of wheat and expanses of sunflowers, before returning to the stables.
In total, the activity will last about 4 hours, including 3 hours in the saddle and 1 hour of rest.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone, even beginners from 14 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
For the welfare of the horses, there is a weight limit of 100 kg.
Other information
The walk is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
From October to April the activity includes a morning departure with lunch, and from May to September it includes an afternoon departure with dinner.
Thecrossing of the Cornia river depends on the hydrometric conditions, which the guide always checks before the walk.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email. Vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options are available on request.
Saddles for English and western riding are available.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
