Horse riding adventure in Montioni Park with lunch or dinner

Experience a real cowboy adventure in the Maremma.

Riding a horse you will enter the Natural Park of Montioni, in the province of Livorno, and ride along the Sentiero delle Cinque Fonti until you reach a rest area. Here you will set up camp with a lit fire to prepare a typical Tuscan lunch or dinner (depending on the season).

A4-hour excursion that will allow you to experience moments of genuine carefreeness!

What we will do

We will meet at the stables in Suvereto (LI), at the time chosen for the excursion.

Here, our horse will be waiting for us together with the guide. We will begin the adventure by getting to know and familiarise ourselves with the animal, then the guide will hold a short briefing to teach us how to ride and how to give the main commands.

Once we have climbed into the saddle, we will set off along a 14-kilometre route. The route will include hilly paths with a difference in altitude of about 200 m through the Montioni Natural Park, a geographical area covering 7,000 hectares between the Cornia Valley and the Pecora Valley. It is a park rich in holm oaks and conifers, where here and there you can see the reddish trunks of cork trees stripped of their bark.

We will ride along the Sentiero delle Cinque Fonti for about two hours, until we reach a rest area, where we will treat ourselves to a campfire lunch or dinner, depending on the season. The staff will light a fire and prepare a menu with typical Maremma products, such as beans, sausage and grilled meat.

Once the food break is over, we will get back in the saddle and return to the riding school after another hour of riding, via the Mediterranean Horseback Trail. In total, the activity will last about 4 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The walk is suitable for everyone, even beginners from 14 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

For the welfare of the horses, there is a weight limit of 100 kg.

Other information

The walk is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.

From October to April, the activity includes a morning departure with lunch, and from May to September it includes an afternoon departure with dinner.

In the event of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers in advance at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email. Vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options are available on request.

Saddles for English and western riding are available.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
