If horses are your passion, as well as wine and quality food, you absolutely cannot miss the horseback ride with tasting in Sicily's Alcantara Valley.
The excursion will let you discover torrents, gorges, waterfalls and other beautiful natural sights of the Alcantara Valley, an area very different from the better known, sea-kissed Sicily. The route will also take you to the area's wine cellars for a tasting of wines and typical products.
It will be a peaceful walk immersed in nature that will make you forget all the stress of everyday life. Book your place now!
What we will do
The appointment is at the Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) estate. Once we arrive, we will be welcomed by an equestrian guide who will familiarise us immediately with the horses, explaining the rudiments of horse riding.
Afterwards, we will climb into the saddle and set off on this pleasant excursion along the banks of the Alcantara river. We will proceed at a leisurely pace, crossing the typical landscape of the Sicilian countryside and admiring vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. We will haveEtna and the beautiful Alcantara Gorge in the background.
The route will then take us to the winery, where experts will explain the secrets of winemaking. Finally, we will be offered a wine tasting accompanied by a platter of cured meats and typical local products.
The total duration of the activity is approximately 4 hours , including 2 hours of horse riding and 2 hours of wine tasting, and ends at the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 15 years and over and weighing no more than 100 kg. No previous horse riding experience is necessary.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The excursion is available all year round, with the exception of Sundays as the winery is closed.
