I was born and live in Sardinia. Since I was a child I have lived in the midst of nature, I love all animals but my greatest love is for horses. In addition to enjoying the white beaches and crystal-clear water, in Sardinia you can go on wonderful horseback rides and discover the wilder, unspoilt side of the island.
With a horse-riding tour in Sant'Antonio di Santadi in Arbus, half an hour from Oristano, you can immerse yourself completely in the Mediterranean maquis, with a wonderful view of the Marceddi lagoon.
This experience is also suitable for those who have never ridden a horse before. Our expert guides will teach you the basic techniques, letting you connect with an extraordinary animal.
What we will do
The appointment is at the agritourism in the locality of Osu Donigala, in Sant'Antonio di Santadi - Arbus (SU). We will be welcomed by equestrian guides and begin with an introductory briefing on basic riding techniques. Having gained confidence with the horses, we will mount in the saddle ready to set off.
The ride will take place in the surrounding hills, from where the ancient Zurufusu mine and the Merceddi lagoon can be observed. The guides will describe the characteristics and history of the area, taking us on scenic trails surrounded by Mediterranean nature.
The horses used for the activity are docile and well-trained and are also well suited to novices. In total, the activity will last about 1 hour, ending with the return to the farm.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is aimed at everyone from the age of 14. No previous experience is required.

This activity is available from June to September and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
