If your dream is to ride a horse to explore the coast and beaches of Tuscany, you are in the right place.
In Marina di Castagneto Carducci, in the province of Livorno, you will experience unforgettable moments during our horseback ride suitable also for beginners.
You will ride for 2 hours along one of the wildest stretches of the Costa degli Etruschi, admiring the sea on one side and the Mediterranean maquis on the other. Nobel Prize-winning poet Giosuè Carducci loved and frequented these places, and we are sure you will fall in love with them at first sight.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Marina di Castagneto Carducci (LI). A qualified equestrian guide, who will accompany the group throughout the entire experience, will teach you some basic rules for horseback riding on an American saddle before setting off.
After a 15-minute briefing, we will set off on our ride. We will ride a fascinating nature trail along one of the wildest stretches of the Costa degli Etruschi, a stretch of the Tyrrhenian Sea from Livorno to Piombino. Along much of the coastline grows the typical Mediterranean pine forest, separating the sea from the hinterland with the green foliage of its maritime pines.
A few kilometres from the picturesque village of Bolgheri, surrounded by vineyards, you can ride your horse along the golden sands of Marina di Castagneto Carducci. Weather permitting, you may even have the opportunity to enter the water for a few minutes, while remaining in the saddle. Walking on the beach and entering the water will not be possible during the summer months (May to September) as there is a ban on bathing.
We will then return to the starting point. The horse ride will last 2 hours; the experience including reception, briefing and horse ride will last 2 ½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 14. No horse riding experience is necessary. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding stables by an adult (but not necessarily during the ride).
The maximum weight allowed to participate in the activity is 115 kg.
Other information
Important! From October to April the walk takes place as advertised. From May to September, it is not permitted to enter the beach and water due to bathing; during these months, we will only walk on the beach.
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
No bags or backpacks may be worn during the experience.
Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
