At Marina di Castagneto Carducci, the Etruscan coast shows one of its most beautiful stretches. Inland, vineyards grow luxuriantly while on the sea an almost endless strip of sand separates the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea from the Tuscan pine forests.
Against this backdrop of unspoilt nature, saddle up on a docile horse for an unforgettable experience: a one-and-a-half-hour horseback ride through the scents of the plants and the blue waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea on the horizon.
And don't worry if you are inexperienced: experienced guides will teach you all the basic techniques for handling the animal and accompany you during this exciting horseback adventure.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Marina di Castagneto Carducci (LI). Here you will meet your expert equestrian guide, who will accompany you for this activity on horseback.
Initially, there will be a brief introduction and briefing (15 minutes), dedicated to some basic rules for dealing effectively with these splendid animals, riding an authentic American saddle.
After riding through a thick and refreshing pine forest, amidst the scents of plants and shrubs typical of the Mediterranean maquis, the blue waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea will appear on the horizon, bathing the low and wild shoreline of the Etruscan coast. We will ride at a leisurely pace and in the company of our guide, to ensure maximum safety.
Weather permitting, in the months of October to April, we will also walk for a few minutes on the sand dunes close to the sea, before returning to the stables to conclude this authentic Tuscan equestrian experience.
We will finally return to the starting point. The horseback ride will last one and a half hours; the experience including welcome, briefing and horseback ride will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 14. No horse riding experience is necessary. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the riding stables by an adult (but not necessarily during the ride).
The maximum weight allowed to participate in the activity is 115 kg.
