An experience to discover this wonderful corner of Sicily... with all the senses!
Take part in our horseback ride in Motta Sant'Anastasia: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will venture over the hills overlooking the city of Catania and Mount Etna, enjoying an exclusive panoramic view cheered by the scent of olive and citrus groves.
A 1- or 2-hour excursion, ending with a tasting of home-made olive oil produced by your guide!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Motta Sant'Anastasia (CT). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will meet the horses and proceed to saddle up. The guide will not fail to teach us the basics of horse riding for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the hills around the riding school, following panoramic paths with views of the Motta Sant'Anastasia Castle, the Gulf of Catania and Mount Etna! The natural scenery will be dotted with olive groves and Mediterranean scrub; we will also encounter a water source, where our trusty companions can refresh themselves. If you select the 2-hour option, we will continue our walk up another hill to admire the panorama from a new perspective, cheered by the scent of citrus groves.
The guide will lead the group on horseback; in the presence of children or if necessary, the guide will lead the participant on foot with a harness.
We will finally return to the meeting point, where the equestrian guide will greet us with a taste of home-produced oil! The horseback ride will last 1 or 2 hours; the total experience will last 1 ½ or 2 ½ hours, depending on the option selected when booking.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 6 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
When booking, you can select the desired duration of the horseback ride between "1 hour" or "2 hours".
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall where there is a covered picnic area. Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport but a free shuttle service is available from the municipality of Motta Sant'Anastasia: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request the service.
