An experience to discover this wonderful corner of Sicily... with all the senses!
Take part in our horseback ride in Motta Sant'Anastasia: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will venture over the hills overlooking the city of Catania and Mount Etna, enjoying an exclusive panoramic view cheered by the scent of olive and citrus groves.
A 1- or 2-hour excursion, ending with a tasting of home-made olive oil produced by your guide!
What we will do
Please arrive 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Motta Sant'Anastasia (CT). We’ll be welcomed by the riding guide who’ll be accompanying us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we’ll meet the horses and get ready to mount up. The guide will be sure to explain the basics of horse riding to ensure a worry-free experience.
And here we are, ready for our horse ride: we’ll ride through the hills around the riding centre, following scenic trails with views of Motta Sant’Anastasia Castle, the Gulf of Catania and Mount Etna! The natural landscape will be dotted with olive groves and Mediterranean scrub; we’ll also come across a spring, where our trusty adventure companions can have a drink. If you’ve chosen the 2-hour option, we’ll continue our ride up another hill to admire the view from a new perspective, whilst enjoying the scent of the citrus groves.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point, where the riding guide will bid us farewell with a taste of homemade olive oil! The horse ride will last 1 or 2 hours; the total experience will last 1½ or 2½ hours, depending on the option selected at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for children aged 6 and over; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult taking part.
To take part in the activity, participants must weigh no more than 90 kg.
The activity is classified as easy and is suitable for first-time riders. The guide leads the way on horseback; if there are children under 14, the guide leads on foot.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
When booking, you can select the desired duration of the horseback ride between "1 hour" or "2 hours".
Any accompanying persons can wait in the riding hall where there is a covered picnic area. Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport but a free shuttle service is available from the municipality of Motta Sant'Anastasia: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request the service.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
