Full description
Discover the olive groves and rows of vines of the Val di Cornia on horseback.
After a briefing with your guide to familiarise yourself with your horse and understand how to ride it, a 19 km ride on the flat paths of the valley, which stretches between the Livorno and Grosseto Maremma, awaits you.
The ride will be made even more unforgettable by the possibility of riding along a stretch of the Cornia river and fording it!
What we will do
We will meet at the riding school in Suvereto (LI), at the time chosen for the excursion.
Here, a guide will be waiting for us, who will accompany us on horseback for the duration of the walk. Before setting off, we will get acquainted and be assigned our horse. We will then listen to a short briefing from the guide, who will explain how to handle the horse and how to ride with an English or western saddle.
After a 10-minute briefing, we will be ready to climb into the saddle and begin our approximately 19 km long ride. We will ride through the Val di Cornia, a lush handkerchief of unspoilt nature at the southernmost tip of the Livorno area, between the Livorno and Grosseto Maremma.
We will thus be able to ride through landscapes dominated by olive groves and rows of vines. Riding our horses we will experience the thrill of walking along a stretch of the Cornia river and fording its clear waters, conditions permitting. This river flows along the valley to flow into the sea near Piombino.
We will return to the stables after spending two hours in the company of our horse.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone, even beginners from 14 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
For the welfare of the horses, there is a weight limit of 100 kg.

Thecrossing of the Cornia river depends on the hydrometric conditions, which the guide always checks before the ride.
Saddles for English and western riding are available.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
