Full description
Would you like to fly over the green areas surrounding Milan? Then take part in an extraordinary hot-air balloon flight and experience an unforgettable emotion!
This hot-air balloon ride departing from San Colombano al Lambro, in the province of Milan, will allow you to admire the Lombardy countryside from above, offering a sweeping view from the Pre-Alps to the Apennines.
Let yourself be carried away by the wind on board a wicker basket and enjoy a sensational experience: the coloured balloon is waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, not far from San Colombano al Lambro (MI). We will fly in the early morning or at dusk, the times of day when conditions are best for flying.
Once assembled, the pilot will conduct a pre-flight briefing and in the meantime we can watch the balloon inflate. When we are finally ready to take off, we will climb into the wicker basket and gradually gain altitude.
From above we will be able to see Pavia, Piacenza, and with a bit of luck (depending on the wind direction), the skyscrapers of Milan. Our gaze will range from the Pre-Alps to the Apennines. It will be possible to glimpse the Po and the typical Lombardy countryside with its fascinating geometries.
The path of the hot-air balloon is determined solely by the currents and can be different each time. Therefore, each trip is a unique, fascinating and unrepeatable experience!
When it is time to land, we will descend to caress the wheat fields. Once we get out of the basket, we will be handed theflight certificate signed by the pilot and we will be able to celebrate with a nice toast and enjoy an aperitif of typical products. Finally, we will be escorted back to our starting point by the staff.
The duration of the flight is approximately 45-60 minutes , depending on wind conditions. The total duration of the experience is approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Flying in a hot-air balloon is a suitable activity for anyone in good health.
You cannot fly if:
- you are pregnant;
- you have suffered injuries or operations that limit your walking or you are unable to maintain the correct support position when landing (bend your knees by holding on to the handles);
- you are under 8 years of age and less than 130 cm tall
- you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
If you have any other medical conditions, consult your doctor before flying. It is important to remove any doubts about the state of your health, otherwise it could affect your safety and that of other passengers.
Other information
The experience is generally available from mid-March to mid-November on the dates indicated in the calendar (continuously updated).
Hot-air ballooning is an activity closely linked to weather conditions. The day before the activity, the pilot will confirm the course according to the latest weather report. In the event of weather conditions that are incompatible with the flight, the flight will be suspended and you will be offered alternative dates.
A maximum of 12 people can be booked to guarantee the activity on the same balloon. For larger groups, please use the "Request Information" button and tell us your requirements.
Prices vary by week and weekend as follows:
- Monday to Friday: €229
- Weekends (and holidays): 249€
Persons weighing over 115 kg have to pay a surcharge of 50% of the rate. Please contact us privately for more information.
Dogs are not allowed on board the balloon.
From 1 June to 1 September , afternoon flights will not take place due to high temperatures.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
