Full description
Immerse yourself in the heart of Umbria with a rafting descent on the Corno river. You will discover the natural beauty of the Valnerina and have fun amidst rapids and breathtaking landscapes.
In the company of an expert guide, you will navigate the river in total safety aboard a raft and cross the Biselli Gorge, a stretch characterised by imposing overhanging rocks.
Take part in this exciting adventure and get ready to experience nature from a new point of view!
What we will do
We will meet in Serravalle di Norcia (PG), in the immediate vicinity of the river Corno in the Valnerina. Before boarding the dinghies we will put on the necessaryequipment and have a briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules. After that, we will be ready for our adventure!
We will start out on the first quiet, fascinating and scenic stretch to the Biselli Gorge, where we will stop for a swim and to drink water from a spring that flows directly from the rock. Once refreshed, we climb back onto the rubber dinghy to descend along a kind of slide connecting the first and second sections, the latter characterised by fun and non-dangerous rapids. Towards the end, a natural springboard will allow the most daring to dive into the bubbling water.
At the end of the route, we will return to the base by shuttle bus. The total duration of the activity will be about 3 hours, including 2 hours in the water to complete the 7 km route.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 4 years old and up. No previous experience is necessary. Just be in good health and have a good relationship with water.
Other information
The activity takes place from April to October, depending on hydro-metric conditions, and is confirmed once 4 participants are reached.
It is important to arrive 30 minutes before the time selected when booking.
After the activity, it is possible to stop for free at the rafting centre picnic area and have a packed lunch or use the barbecue service with a grill prepared by the adjacent restaurant, at the price of €15 per person (to be requested after booking).
