Full description
Maybe you have already participated in a river trekking experience (or maybe not). Certainly not so unique!
Yes, because our river trek is the only one to take place inside a nature reserve in Tuscany, theOrrido di Botri. And it is precisely in this scenic canyon that you will venture, walking with water at your knees.
Because participating in this 4½-hour guided experience is impossible to get "milk on your knees"!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Bagni di Lucca (LU). To welcome you there will be me, your guide, ready to accompany you on this river trek!
On your arrival, I will hand over yourequipment, we will proceed with dressing and, during a briefing, I will provide you with all the information you need to live this experience without worries. This first part of the activity will last about 30 minutes.
It will then be time to set off and, after about 100 metres, we will be at the entrance to theOrrido di Botri. It is in this beautiful setting that the route we will take is located: it is the only river trek in Tuscany inside a nature reserve!
We will venture into this scenic canyon, walking in water that will reach no higher than our knees. After about two hours we will reach a natural pool where we will take a break, with the possibility of recharging our batteries with a snack or packed lunch brought from home.
We will then retrace our steps, retracing the path we took for a total of 7.5 km. After about 2 hours we will be back at the meeting point, for a total duration of 4.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 6. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent; for children aged between 14 and 18, a release form signed by a parent is sufficient.
Good health and complete mobility are required to participate in this activity.
It is not necessary to be able to swim to participate in this activity.
Other information
The experience is available from March to October and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 5 participants.
The excursion takes place subject to weather and water conditions at the organiser's discretion.
The activity includes the participation of 1 guide for up to 15 participants.
There are no changing rooms on site.
