We don't ask how many days until Christmas. We wonder how many days until the next snowshoe hike!
You too will love walking through the winter landscape: take part in our Valmalenco walk with an environmental hiking guide and venture up to an altitude of 2,350 metres.
The panoramic view of the Bernina group will repay the 5-hour snow experience!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 10 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point in Lanzada (SO). I, your guide, will be there to welcome you!
When all the participants have arrived, we will organise ourselves in our cars to reach the activity point with as few vehicles as possible; the transfer will take about 15 minutes.
Once at the starting point, we will put on our snowshoes and begin our adventure in the snowy landscape of Valmalenco! We will set off in the direction of Alpe Campagneda, penetrating through woods of stone pines and larches.
After braving an altitude difference of 300 m, we will reach a plateau at an altitude of 2,350 m: the panoramic view will range from Pizzo Scalino to Monte Disgrazia to the other peaks of the Bernina group.
We will then set off again to return to our starting point; once we have crossed the finish line we will have covered around 10 km. From here we will return in our cars to reach the meeting point by approximately 14:30.
The snowshoe hike will last 4 hours; the experience will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 10.
To participate, a state of good health and being used to walking is required; one must not suffer from asthma or have heart problems.
The route does not include any stretches that may disturb those who suffer from vertigo.
Other information
Attention. On the dates of 6 and 13 April 2024 , the activity will last 6 hours instead of 5, with no route changes.
To reach the activity location, it is necessary to be equipped with car snow chains.
The experience is available from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of at least 6 participants.
There is a car park on site.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
