Full description
Experience the magic of the snow and enjoy the enchantment of winter mountain landscapes with an evocative snowshoe excursion in the woods of Cogne, in Valle d'Aosta.
You will walk on snow-covered paths winding among centuries-old larch and spruce trees, while the sun's rays filter through the branches giving wonderful reflections and plays of light .
In the company of an environmental guide, you will discover the secrets of the area and enjoy the experience without any worries!
What we will do
We will meet in Cogne (AO ) and after forming the group, the guide will provide us with snowshoes (included in the participation fee, along with poles) and will give us all the information we need to carry out the activity safely.
We will take a route that will lead us into the Sylvenoire forest, an enchanted place that in winter is dressed in a white cloak of snow, offering plays of light and fantastic atmospheres. Walking through the trees, we will encounter hares, squirrels, deer, chamois, ibex and other animals. In addition, the guide will describe to us step by step the characteristics of the natural environment and the glacial valleys we will walk through.
After a few hours of walking, we will arrive at a beautiful plateau where we can stop for a break in a chalet, before taking the way back.
The activity will last approximately 3.5 hours in total for a route with little altitude difference and no technical difficulties.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone, including families with children aged 5 and up.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are muzzled.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point approximately 15 minutes in advance.
This activity can be carried out from December to March, every Monday and Saturday, and is confirmed when there are at least 10 participants, weather permitting. The location of the snowshoe hike will be confirmed a day or two before, after checking the snow and weather conditions.
Lunch is not included in the fee and will be possible on the return to Cogne, where there are various facilities.
The excursion will be led by a specialised and exclusive Gran Paradiso National Park guide.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
