Full description
Christmas Holidays in Cortina but the protagonist is not Christian De Sica.
It's you. Take part in our snowshoe hike in Cortina d'Ampezzo: in the company of a mountain guide, you will venture along snow-covered paths in the splendid scenery of the Dolomites. With unique panoramic views of the Sasso di Santa Croce, the Tofane and Monte Cristallo.
An experience of about 4 hours, discovering the territory and the animals that inhabit it!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cortina d'Ampezzo (BL), about 15 minutes' drive from the centre of the renowned winter destination. We will be welcomed by the mountain guide who will accompany us on this adventure in the snow!
Having gathered all the participants and handed over theequipment, there will follow a brief introduction during which the guide will provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.
With snowshoes on our feet, we will then be ready to venture out into the snowy landscape: depending on the best weather conditions of the day and the participants' level of experience, we will embark on one of the many routes in the beautiful natural setting of the Dolomites. Along the way, we will be able to admire the Sasso di Santa Croce, the Tofane and Monte Cristallo; and lowering our gaze, we will notice the traces of some of the animals that inhabit the area, such as roe deer, deer, chamois, foxes and hares!
We will finally return to the meeting point; the route is approximately 6 km long with a maximum altitude difference of 400 metres. The experience will last about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 16 and over. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
A shoe size between 34 and 46 is required to participate.
The route does not include any overhangs that might disturb those suffering from vertigo.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first snowshoe hike.
