Discover the most beautiful and spectacular alpine pastures of the Val di Fassa with a snowshoeing excursion on snow-covered paths through woods, valleys and mountain passes.
The Alpine Guide will take you to discover breathtaking views and panoramas of the Dolomites and will lead you to the refuge where you can enjoy a good lunch with typical Trentino dishes.
This snowshoe excursion is suitable for all nature lovers who want to spend an entire day breathing fresh air.
What we will do
We will meet in Val di Fassa, at the point indicated after the booking confirmation, at 9:30am. Once the group is formed, we will be given snowshoes and poles (included in the participation fee) and we will be ready for our snowshoe hike.
The itinerary will be chosen by the Alpine Guide according to snow conditions, but our favourite areas include some of the most iconic places in the Dolomites, such as Passo Fedaia, at the foot of the Marmolada glacier, Passo Sella or Passo San Pellegrino, from where we can admire the landscapes of Trentino's most beautiful peaks. All different places but with a common trait: the beauty of nature and the mountains.
We will walk on fresh snow on a route of varying length and moderate altitude difference (approx. 550 metres), which can be tackled by anyone used to long mountain walks. The route will take us to a typical mountain refuge for a lunch of regional dishes (not included in the price).
Once we have recovered our energy and after a little well-deserved relaxation, we will be ready for the descent that will take us back to the starting point at about 15:30. The hike will last a total of about 6 hours, including 4 hours of walking.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level and is suitable for people in good physical condition, aged 12 and above.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are used to walking on snow.
Other information
The activity takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from December to March and is confirmed when there are at least five participants, weather permitting.
The itineraries may vary depending on snow and weather conditions. Depending on the route chosen, a few days before the activity you can request the specific itinerary from the guide. He will also inform you via Whatsapp or email of the meeting address (always in the Fassa Valley area) .
The meeting point must be reached independently and is not always served by public transport. Furthermore, some itineraries may require the use of a snowmobile (guided by the guides and not by the participants) or a ski lift. In these cases, it will be necessary to pay for these services (excluded) on site.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are used to walking on snow.
In the event of a lack of snow, the hike can still be done on foot.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
