Full description
Enjoy asnowshoe hike with the whole family in the Gran Paradiso National Park.
In the company of your guide, you will set off from Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, in the province of Aosta, moving through fresh snow and admiring splendid snow-covered landscapes. You will tackle a route of about 5 km, with an altitude difference of just over 100 metres, simple and suitable for everyone.
You will go in search of animals by following tracks through larch forests and sunny glades of the wild Val di Rhêmes.

What we will do
The meeting point is near Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, in the province of Aosta. Here we will be welcomed by the guide, who will give a briefing on the activity. Afterwards, we will be given snowshoes and poles (included in the fee) and we will walk to the starting point of the hike, 5 minutes away.
Snowshoes on our feet, we will walk on a 5 km snowy trail in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. We will cross larch forests and walk peacefully through the soft snow, following the tracks of the valley's animals. The more curious will also take home some knowledge about the snowy terrain and how animals survive the winter.
Theitinerary, with an altitude difference of about 150 metres, is easy and lasts about two hours. At the end of the hike, we will have the opportunity to have lunch in a local establishment, the Granta Parey or the Boule De Neige.
The activity has a total duration of 2 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is suitable for everyone, from 10 years old and up. It presents no technical difficulties, you just need to be well equipped for the snow and in good health.
Other information
The excursion is bookable on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from December to March, subject to snow and weather conditions, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 6 participants (an alternative will be offered if the minimum number is not reached).
Dogs are allowed on this snowshoe hike. If you wish to bring your own dog, you must notify the guide before the activity takes place.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
