Full description
Experience the unique emotion of a night snowshoe hike in the snowy landscape!
Put on your snowshoes, pick up your poles, switch on your torch and venture out in the company of our Environmental Hiking Guide into the natural setting of theUpper Susa Valley. You will walk among characteristic conifers and follow the tracks of cute forest animals.
A5-hour experience, including dinner in a mountain hut with traditional dishes!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 17:00 at the meeting point in Bousson, a hamlet in the municipality of Cesana Torinese (TO). We will be welcomed by the Environmental Hiking Guide, who will accompany us on this adventure in the snow!
Once all participants have gathered, the equipment will be handed over. We will put on our snowshoes and the guide will provide us with all the information we need for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our snowshoe hike: we will venture along a forest path in the beautiful snowy setting of the Upper Susa Valley. We will walk among characteristic conifers, observing the tracks of animals hiding in the vegetation such as deer, stags and hares. We will climb up to an altitude of 1,700 metres, enjoying the panoramic view of Punta Ramiere and Cima Bosco, before crossing the finish line at the refuge.
Here we will be welcomed for dinner , with a first course, second course and dessert to choose from two options (drinks not included); the refuge specialises in revisiting local cuisine, which we will get to know with all our senses. Once we have recharged our batteries, we put on our snowshoes again to return to the meeting point guided by the light of the moon (and torch).
At the end of the activity we will have covered 10 km with an altitude difference of +300 metres. The snowshoe hike will last about 2 hours each way; the experience will last about 5 hours in total.
